Thailand has always produced rising star rings for every generation. Among the young prodigies who have marked the history of the Muay Thai are champions such as Samart Payakaroon (17-year-old Lumpinee Champion in 1980), Robert Kaennorasing (17-year-old Radja Champion in 1989), Saenchai Sor Kingstar (16-year-old Lumpinee Champion in 1997), Anuwat Kaewsamrit (17-year-old Radja Champion in 1998), Yodseanklai Fairtex (16-year-old Lumpinee Champion in 2001), Superbank Sakchaichote (16-year-old Radja Champion in 2010), Phanpayak Jitmuangnon (16-year-old Radja Champion in 2012), Sangmanee Sor Tienpo (15-year-old Lumpinee and Radja Champion in 2012), there are so many wonder boy of the boxing in the country of the Muay Thai that we cannot quote them all...

Here are some future seeds of stars of the rings that will surely leave their mark in the years 2020!

 

Wanchainoï Singplapaknoi



Age: 18

City of birth: Pla Pak region Sakhon Nakhon

Title: Lumpinee champion in 108 lbs (2018), Thailand champion in 112 lbs (2018)

Special sign :

Wanchainoi is the current Thai champion in 112 lbs. His real name is Wanchaï Chaingama, he started boxing at the age of 9, his father trained him into his house. Then he joined the Singplapaknoi gym (The fish with a small mouth). A gym in the Sakhon Nakhon province in the northeast region of the country, close to the border of Laos.

Wanchainoï was champion of his province in 2013, 2014 and 2015. At 13, he made his first fight in the big stadium of Bangkok, the Ratchadamnoen stadium. Then, in 2016, he fought at the famous stadium TV7.

On June 5, 2018, at just 16 years old, he won the belt of the Lumpinee stadium in 108 lbs by beating Sanchainoi Tanaimichelle.

On September 7, 2018, then he won the champion's belt of Thailand in 112 lbs against See-Oui Singhamawin.

Wanchainoï is now fighting for the renowned Sitsarawatseur gym since August 2018, a gym located in Samut Prakarn (30 km from Bangkok).

In March 2019, Wanchainoï received the Golden Glove Trophy for the “Boxer of the Year Award 2018” awarded by the Sports Authority of Thailand.

Wanchainoï also won the Best Rising Star Fighter Award at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in 2019.

Samuenthep, whose real name is Panthep Yomkaewkerd, made his first fight at age 9 and won 500 baht. He comes from Krabi in the south of the country. He trains in the famous Singpatong gym in Phuket, the gym of French star Rafi Singpatong.

This slender fighter, strong with his knees and technique, won at the age of 16 the belt of the Lumpinee in 105 lbs against Ittiphol Singmawin, on November 30, 2018.

On September 24, 2019, in the stadium of Lumpinee, during the Prestige Fight show of the French promoter Djamel Yacouben, Samuenthep beat by knockout with a superb knee to the liver Neuapetch Keelasport and won the belt of Lumpinee in 112 lbs, a belt he still holds today.

Phetmuangsi Sor Jaruwan

Phetmuangsi was formed in Sor Jaruwan gym, a small gym in Sisaket in the Northeast region, where he's still today. His big brother is the formidable champion Rambo Petchburi (TV7 Champion) who has been fighting for years for the famous Petch Por Por Phan 6 Gym. Phetmuangsi is a Fimeuu boxer (Technique) unlike his big brother who is rather a boxer Muay bouk (Durable boxer who advances).

On October 21, 2018, at 17 years, Phetmuangsi won the TV7 belt in 108 lbs by beating Domthong Lukjaophorongtham.

In 2019, he received the trophy for best fighter in his category offered by the stadium of Lumpinee with 7 victories won over 10 fights in 2019 (Stadium of Lumpinee and Radja)!

Hercules, whose real name is Paradorn Pho-no, started boxing at age 8 years in a small gym near his home called the Sakongtamraï Gym. He then joined the famous Phetsimuun Gym (The 40,000 Diamonds) in Thungsong, one of the most famous gyms in the southern region. After having successfully ridden all the rings of the South Region, Thung Song, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Trang, Krabi, Phang Nga, Phuket, Hat Yai, Surat Thani, the young boxing prodigy fought very early in the great stadiums of the capital.

On June 5, 2018, at only 15 years old, Hercules won the belt of the Lumpinee stadium in 105 lbs by beating the fearsome Samuenthep Por Petchsiri.

A month later, on July 26, 2018, Hercules became champion of Radja, he defeated Itthiphon Lukklongtan for the belt of Radja in 105 lbs. At 15 years, he was holder of the two belts of the biggest stadiums in Bangkok!

Nompreaw was named before Yodthong Sor Sor Parapon, he was formed in a small gym in Buriram. Now he's training and fighting for the famous PK Saenchaigym Champions Gym located in Bangkok.

Very strong with the techniques of elbows, the young Nompreaw won his first belt of a big stadium at only 16 years old. On November 11, 2018, he beat Petchek Singmanee and won the TV7 Stadium belt in 105 lbs.

On May 10, 2019, after an epic match, a terrible battle of elbows whose two protagonists finished the bloody head, Nompreaw beat Taptinthong Sor Jor Lekmuangnon for the belt of the Lumpinee in 108 lbs!

Phon started Muay Thai around the age of 9 years, it's a pure product of the famous Parunchai Gym (Best gym of the year 2015) located in Thungsong, a gym that has formed many stars of the rings. This exceptional champion gym has already win 5 TV7 champion belts, 4 Thailand champion belts and 6 Lumpinee champion belts.

On May 19, 2019, Phon fought for the title of TV7 champion in 105 lbs against Robert Sor Thanabowon who beat him in points.

On December 6, 2019, Phon won the Lumpinee belt in 105 lbs against Phetmalai Phetjaroenvit, he's the current Lumpinee champion in 105 lbs!

The other young prodigy of the Parunchai gym is Yod Parunchai who won the champion's belt of Thailand in 108 lbs at 18 years old in 2018, he beat Nompreaw Torajtan. Then he became 19 years old, TV7 stadium champion in 112 lbs, on December 1, 2019, he defeated Khaosanit Sor Dechaphan for the TV7 title, a title he still holds today!

Rak, whose real name is Suparak Somchit, was born in Pattani. He's the current Erawan Boxing Gym young prodigy. He started boxing at the age of 10 years, and for his first fight he won 300 baht. Rak was formed in Wor Watcharit Gym. Then, in 2016, he joined the Erawan Boxing Gym located in the big city of Yala, in the southern region of Thailand that touches the border of Malaysia.

Since 2017, Rak has been collecting KO victories in Bangkok’s major stadiums.

On December 6, 2019, at 18 years, he beat Singhalek Sor Chokmeechai in points for the Lumpinee belt in 108 lbs.

On March 6, 2020, at the Lumpinee Stadium, Rak conquered the Thai championship belt in 108 lbs. He had a great match and was defeated by KO with a hard pokes in round three, Domtong Lukjaoporongtom. Rak is now, at only 19 years old, in the 108 lbs category, the champion of Lumpinee and Thailand!

Robert, whose real name is Narongrit Saokwan, started boxing in a small gym near his home. Then, at the age of 12 years, he was formed by the legendary Lamnamoon Sor Sumalee in the gym he opened in 2014 in Ubon Ratchatani. Lamnamoon Sor Sumalee is one of the great champions of the «Golden Age» of Muay Thai in Thailand. He won 5 belts, the Lumpinee champion belts in 115 lbs (1993), 126 lbs (1996) and 130 lbs (1997, 1999), and the WPKL World champion belt (2004). Lamnamoon is associated with the businessman Dr. Thanabawon Sirikunakornkun who is the president of a group of important companies in the Ubon Ratchatani region.

The young Robert started fighting very early in the big stadiums of Bangkok, from the age of 15 years.

On May 19, 2019, at 17 years, Robert beat the fearsome Phon Parunchai for the belt of the TV7 stadium in 105 lbs. He's the current TV7 champion in 105 lbs!

Chanalert started boxing at age 8 under the leadership of his father, a former great boxing champion named Lertchai Kiatipbodin. At the age of 13, Chanalert joined the famous Meenayothin Gym the gym of champions in Bangkok, a gym he still represents today.

His father, Lertchai, fought in the 90s for the great promoter Songchai Ratanasuban, he won the belt of the Lumpinee stadium in 108 lbs, a title he conquered on September 30, 1997. Twenty-one years later, on 13 September 2018, at the age of 17 years, Chanalert won a prestigious title in the same category as his father, beating Praewprao Muayded 789 for the belt of the Radja stadium in 108 lbs!

This talented young boy of rings then won the Lumpinee Stadium belt in 115 lbs. On December 13, 2019, he defeated the star Rungnarai Kiatmuu9 who had held the title for two years. At the age of 19 years, Chanalert is the current Lumpinee champion in 115 lbs. In 2019, Chanalert received the trophy of «Best Rising Star Boxer of the Year»!
