How old are you?
I am 31 years old
You come of what region of the Thailand?
I’m come from the region of Buriram in Isaan (North East)
Are you married, have you children?
Yes I’m married and have a daughter
How were you in the family?
We have four children, three boys and a girl
Are your brothers also practice boxing?
Yes my brother was a boxer and my little brother also fights, he’s very good, it’s called Suadam (Black Tiger), he made over 300 fights. We are a boxing family!
Child you were rather a brawler or at all?
Yes often at school but especially with my brothers (Laughter)
You began the boxing at which age?
At 9 years
How you discovered the boxing?
This is my big brother who formed me in Muay Thai. He’s a boxing enthusiast…
Your first fight you made him for which age?
From 9 years old, a few months after I started my training…
You fought a lot in your area?
Yes a lot and I won my first title belt Northeast at 13, in – 36 Kg!

I first started at home with my brother and then in 10 years I went to the camp Kiatmuu 9 which is in the village of Takotaphi, my hometown …
You are always at Kiatmuu 9 camp?
Yes this will do 21 years now…

What are the champions with whom you train in the camp?
There were several good fighters in Kiatmuu9, my brother, Suadam, Superlek (3 times Champion of Thailand, twice champion of the Lumpinee) who is my nephew, he’s 18 years old, he’s very strong. Panomrunglek (Double Champion du Lumpinee, Champion of Thailand, Champion of the Tournament Isuzu) and his younger brother Petpanomrung (3 times champion of Thailand), Rungnarai (Champion of Thailand) and Wanchai (Double champion of the Lumpinee, Champion of Thailand)…

For your fights in the stadiums of Bangkok you make the round trip between Isaan (Northeast Region) and capital (Bangkok is 400 km of the region of Buriram)?
Yes we leave by car towards midnight to arrive at 6 am for the weighing, I rest in a room after noon before the fight and after the fight we go directly to Takotaphi into the northeast…
You have a room in the camp?
No I have my house to Takotaphi, not very far from the camp. I come in motorcycle to the camp, I train then I go back home
In what category you fight?
140 lbs (- 63 K500) but abroad I can fight in 66 Kg!
What are the titles which you gained?
I won nine belts. My first major belt I won it in 2001 against Kongdech Kiatprapat, the belt of the tournament Toyota Marathon 115 lbs (- 52 kg), in 2002 I won the belt of Thailand in 126 lbs (- 57 kg) against Orono Wor Petchpun in 2005 the belt of Lumpinee and Thailand in 130 lbs (- 59 kg) against Orono Wor Petchpun and belt Wrangyer Tournament 130 lb (- 59 kg) against Kaew Fairtex, in 2012 again the belt of Lumpinee in 130 lbs (- 59 kg) against Saenchai PK Saenchai Gym in 2013 the belt of Lumpinee and Thailand in 135 lbs (- 61 kg) against Nong O Kayanghadao in 2014 the belt of Lumpinee in 140 lbs (- 63Kg500) against Sensatan Sor Suradej and belt Toyota Marathon Tournament in 140 lbs (- 63Kg500) against Saenchai PK Saenchai Gym!

I have make 247 fights. 189 victories. 56 defeats and 2 draws!

You have which style of boxing?
I’m Muay Khao (specialist of knees)
What was so far your hardest fight?
Against Saenchai in Lumpinee, it’s very difficult technically to beat Saenchai. My fights against Anuwat Kaewsamrit were also very hard, because he beat me twice by KO…
You often faced Saenchai, how much you have make of fight against him?
We met nine times, Saenchai beat me five times and I beat him four times including twice with a title!
SINGDAM AGAINST SAENCHAI, A CLASSIC!
Your best memory of boxing until today?
My victory against Orono Wor Petchpun in Lumpinee for the belt of Thailand, it was in 2002. A beautiful victory because Orono in the time was the best fighters!
My victories on Saenchai are also good memories!
Orono (Lumpinee Champion, Thailand Champion, World champion WMC, WPMF, It’s Show Time) was a very great champion, how many times you faced him?
With Orono we also fought nine times together with five victories for me and four victories for him!
You have already fought abroad?
Yes once in Japan it was against Nong O, I beat him in points
Against Nong O (Champion du Lumpinee, Champion du Radja, Champion of Thailand, Best boxer of year 2005) you have make a lot of fight also, I believe?
Yes (Laughter) I believe that it’s with him that I the most fought, he’s very technically, we met twelve times, I won five times, he beat me six times and we made a draw!
THE MATCHES BETWEEN SINGDAM AND NONG O WERE ALWAYS BIG FIGHTS
In June you are going to come to fight in France in the big event Best Of Siam 6, it’s the first time when you will come in France?
Yes it’s the first time!

You know your opponent who will be French-Moroccan Aziz Hlali?
No I don’t know too much the foreign fighters but I know that the French fighters are very good!
You know French boxers?
I know just man Chong Skarbowsky who often fought in Thailand!
Do you know Fabio Pinca, the French champion who gained the first « Thai Fight »?
His name tell me something, he fought with Saenchai also, I believe…
Who is according to you the foreign boxer the strongest in Muay Thai?
At that time, Ramon Dekkers was very strong. Then, Chong Skarbowsky also beat big names in Thailand. Now, I don’t know, there are many foreign boxers…
And the best Thai boxer at present it’s who for you?
It’s still Saenchai but Nong O is also very strong!
What are the known fighters that you faced?
There was a lot, Orono, Saenchai, Nong O, Kongpipop, Nongbee, Sakapet, Nopparat, Samkor, Yodsanklai, Saenchainoi, Kaew, Attachai, Leudsila, Anuwat, Jomthong, Superbon, Sakeddao, Petboonchu, Wanchalerm, Yodvicha, Kongsak, Pakorn…
You met Samkor and Yodsanklai, what is that you beat these two immense champions?
Yes Samkor I beat him twice and Yodsanklai, once, it was in 2003 and 2004, long ago already…
Who is your promoter?
Mister Virat Wachirarattanawong (Petchyindee Promotion)
What technique you love most in fight?
Knees at first but I like very much middles and High Kicks!
You make a good living with the boxing?
Yes I was able to make build my house to Takotaphi in my home town, I have a beautiful car, I touch of very good purses for my fights!
What is your purse today in Thailand?
100 000 bahts!
That would you like to make after the boxing, to open your own camp, to become a trainer?
I don’t really know still, I have no precise idea, I want to make some thing but I’m not still sure…
You can open a bar to Pattaya?
(Laughter) Not to Pattaya, but a restaurant to Buriram why not…

Singdam is a member “Yod” (Champion the best of the best) from now on decade. Singdam gained everything, he was four times a champion of the Lumpinee, three times champion of Thailand, winner of the Tournament Wrangyer and twice winner of the tournament Toyota Marathon. In 2002, he was elected ” Best fighters of the year ” by the prestigious « The Sport Writers Association of Thailand »!

Singdam (9 fights in 2012 with 7 victories and 2 defeats) was also in the finalists for the trophy of the ” Best boxer of the year ” 2012 with Sangmanee (9 fights in 2012 with 8 victories and 1 defeats) and Yodvicha (9 fights in 2012 with 5 victories, 2 defeats and 2 draws), but it’s finally both young people Sangmanee and Yodvicha who gained the favors of the jury!
Singdam was formed to the famous camp Kiatmuu 9 situated in the province of Buriram in the Northeast of the Thailand, the camp which became one of the most considered by the country, the Kiatmuu 9 camp received the trophy from ” Best camp of the year ” in 2002!
For many young people of the village where is the Kiatmuu 9 camp, Muay Thai is one of the ways to take another path than the one who will lead them inevitably to work in fields. With only a fight during a big event in Bangkok, a professional boxer is going to gain the equivalent of one year of salary of a farmer.
Singdam became a professional boxer and a great champion who gain today a pharaonic salary compared with his parents who are farmers. But Singdam is a very humble champion because in spite of his personal fortune, during his career, he always continued to help his parents in hard work. How during the harvest of the rice which takes place twice a year, Singdam participated in this hard task!

In January, in Lumpinee, he beat the great champion Kongsak Sitboonmee (Best fighter of the year in 2010)!
For the opening of the new stadium of Lumpinee, February 28, he loses face the terrible Pakorn PK Saenchaigym for the belt of Lumpinee in 135 lbs!
In March, in the south of Thailand, he beats Chamuaktong Sor Yupinda for the second time!
In early May, the stadium of Radja, he loses on points against Nong-O Kaiyanghadao (Best fighter of the year in 2005) for Radja belt 135 lbs…
But on May 30, at Surathani in the South, he won the Toyota Marathon tournament, beating the French John Giib by KO in the 1st round, the Australian Javy Tonkin by KO in the second round and in the final he beat Saenchai by points!
On 5 September, the stadium of Lumpinee, he beats Sensatan Sor Suradej and takes his belt of Lumpinee in 140 lbs (- 63 Kg 500)!
In October, he loses on points against Pechboonchu FA Group for the Toyota Marathon tournament…
In 2015, to the stadium of Radja in main event, he loses on points against the young wonder boy Yodvicha Phor Boonsit (Best fighter of the year in 2012), and in March, to the stadium of Lumpinee, Singdam loses by TKO against Manasak Sor Jor Lekmuangnont…
