The THONGCHAILEK MUAY THAI GYM is located in Nakhon Ratchassima province in the northeastern region of Thailand. He belongs to the great champion Thongchailek.
THONGCHAILEK
Thongchailek was trained in the famous Thor Silachai gym, the gym of star Thongchai Thor Silachai (Lumpinee champion in 105 lbs, 108 lbs and 112 lbs, Radja champion in 115 lbs, WMC world champion in 115 lbs, winner of the Mitsubishi Tournament, award Best Boxer of the Year 2001).

Thongchailek was a formidable fighter of the 90s, ranked in the stadium of Lumpinee (N ° 3 in 140 lbs), he faced and beat some of the big names of the discipline as well as great French champions.
THONGCHAILEK HAS OFTEN FOUGHT AT THE LUMPINEE STADIUM IN BIG EVENTS
After his career, Thongchailek opened his gym in his home region. Today, he teaches in his own gym. The Thongchailek Muay Thai Gym has a large infrastructure for a provincial camp.
THE GYM IS VERY LARGE AND WELL VENTILATED
Most of Thongchailek’s students are beginners. But the gym also has good professional fighters.
Frenchman Hugo Rémy, from Toulon, who is a professional boxer, has often fought for the gym.

Hello Thongchailek, can you introduce yourself?
My first name is Teikatok and my last name is Thongchailek. My name of Nak Muay is Thongchailek Thor Silachai from the name of Thor Silachai Gym which was at Nakhon Ratchassima also called Korat.
How old were you when you started Muay Thai?
I started when I was 8, my father taught me about Muay Thai and my uncles. My father fought between 57 and 60 kilos at the Lumpinee stadium and the Rajadamnoen stadium in the 1960s and 1970s. He’s 71 years old and still practices all the shadow boxing gestures today!
Your first fight?
I was eight and a half, I fought in a temple and I won by KO in the second round. I weighed 28 kilos.
Then you joined the Thor Silachai gym?
When I was 14 years old, I fought with the great champion Kaoponglek (Lumpinee Champion, WAKO World Champion and MTA, best boxer of the year 1995), he beat me at points and later he came to my gym the Thor Silachai. Then I prepared my fights with him.

How many fights did you make?
I made 205 fights for 176 wins, 25 losses and 4 draws. I only lost twice by KO against Thais champions, Sadam Kiatyongyut and Ratchawat Looklangsee.
What are the known fighters you faced?
I beat Superlek, Daoloi, Sameu, Littideth, Kapayak, Khanompet, Marvin, Thepvalin, Kaluate (Saksom Chai). I lost by points against Sonlam Sor Udomrson.

You also fought against many foreign champions?
Yes, I beat the champions Dida Diafat, Christian Garros, Karim Saada, Tarik Benfik. I also beat a Scotsman in Manchester.

Have you already been to France?
I have family in Toulon in France. I have friends who are in France like Krongsak, Lamkong, Anoukoun, Wanlop and Frederic Jean.

Are you married?
I’m married and have three daughters who are 14, 10 and 5 years old. My 10 year old daughter loves Muay Thai, she has already fought twice and she has won by points!
When did you stop your boxing career?
I stopped boxing in 2007. After stopping my career in 2007, I was coach in China in Beijing and Hong Kong from 2008 to 2010. Then, in Jakarta in Indonesia from 2012 to 2014. And finally, in Hanoi, Vietnam from 2014 to 2015.
Today you have your own gym?
Yeah, when I was 43, I had a hobby boxing gym. But if a student wants to fight here in Thailand, I bring in professional sparrings and I have contacts with promoters. My gym is called Thongchailek Muay Thai Gym and is in Khorat. My wife has a small restaurant in my gym near my house.
