The camp Sor Dechapant is located north of Bangkok, right next to Chandrakasem Rajabhat University in the Khwaeng Chan Kasem district. The camp’s infrastructure is not large but very well equipped, the big Chatuchak Park is about one kilometer from the Ratchadaphisek 36 Alley street where the camp is located. An alley that includes many small restaurants.
THE SOR DECHAPANT GYM INCLUDES A LARGE RING, FOUR BAGS AND ALL MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR MUAY THAI TRAINING
This camp, which opened in 2009, was created by Colonel Surachet Dechaphan nicknamed “Inspector Chet”, a boxing enthusiast who does not hesitate to sometimes train his own boxers. The manager of gym, Chok Satun, is Surachet’s brother.

The Sor Dechapant Gym has about twenty boxers, including about ten of the highest levels such as Morakotdum Sor Dechapant, Jaoseryai Sor Dechapant, Hurricane Sor Dechapant, Wisanuchai Sor Dechapant, Super-X Sor Dechapant, Laemsing Sor Dechapant and Taker Sor Dechapant (Professional in Boxing). The fighters are supervised by three coaches who are Chaiwat, Bon Suayaï and Thepwarin.

The great champion Sanghiran Lukbanyai is the main coach of camp Sor Dechapant. Sanghiran is from the region of Trang in the south, he was nicknamed «Satolek» (The «Steel Sato», Sato is a plant of the family of beans that has seeds that have a strong smell) because he had a formidable punch.
Sanghiran made a great career in Muay Thai, in the early 2000s he won the belt of Lumpinee and Thailand in 122 lbs by beating by KO the star Nontachaï Sit O (Radja champion). Then, later, the belt of TV7 stadium in 126 lbs against Santipha Jaroenkacem. Sanghiran beat great champions like Anuwat Keawsamrit, Wacharachaï Keawsamrit, Kongbeng Kor Romsitong, Thailand Pinsinchai, Luktonlaeluktam Sor Ploenchit, Phet Tho Sitjaopho, Petchnamsaeng Numsangkorsang (KO), Aphisit KT Gym.
Sanghiran also had a great career in professional Boxing with 24 fights for 21 victories including 15 by KO, 2 losses and a draw. In Boxing, he was Intercontinental champion WBC Asian Boxing in 118 lbs and 122 lbs, he kept his title in 118 lbs three times and nine times his title in 122 lbs.
Sanghiran was elected by the Lumpinee stadium “Best trainer of the Year 2017” with the preparation of eight boxers from Sor Dechapant gym who won 25 consecutive fights.
In 2018, Sanghiran moved to China for a while to teach at a boxing club.

Thanks to the success of boxers of Sor Dechapant, coach Sanghiran and the two great champions of gym Ongree and Kaosanit, the camp Sor Dechapant received the prestigious TV7 trophy of “Best Camp of the Year 2017” from the famous TV7 stadium in Bangkok.
In 2017, the Sor Dechapant Gym was also ranked third in the Best Camp of the Year award from the Lumpinee Stadium. The trophy was won by Pranachai Gym, the camp of the stars, the PK Saenchai Gym came second.
The Sor Dechapant gym also received the Friends Club 19 trophy in 2015.
M. SURACHET DECHAPHAN WITH THE “BEST CAMP OF THE YEAR” TROPHY
The superstar of the camp is Ongree Sor Dechapant who won four important belts (TV7 Champion in 102 lbs, Radja champion in 105 lbs, Lumpinee champion in 105 lbs, Lumpinee champion in 112 lbs).
Ongree is 24 years old and comes from Prankan in the Trang region of southern Thailand. His purse is of 100,000 baht, and he’s part of the “Yod” in the 112-pound category.
Ongree trained at the famous camp of Phuket the Sinbi Muay Thai where the great champion Saenchai stayed for some time in 2012. Six years ago, several camps in Bangkok wanted the young prodigy Ongree. But his family preferred him to train at Sinbi gym. In exchange, the owner of camp Sinbi left all bets to Ongree’s family for his first games. Ongree’s first game for the Sinbi Muay Thai gym was made with a 200,000 baht dumpan that was won by young Ongree.
Then Ongree was bought by the Lukbanyaï camp in Bangkok where he stayed for two years. In 2014, Ongree joined camp Sor Dechapant in which he’s still.
Ongree won his first belt in 2013, beating Priowpak Yodasawintransport for the TV7 belt in 102 lbs.
On August 11, 2014, Ongree won the Radja belt in 105 lbs against Rit Jitmuangnont. A belt he lost on August 6, 2015 against Yodbuadaeng Sor Sirilak.
On 5 September 2014, Ongree beat the formidable Wanphichit Minayothin for the Lumpinee belt in 105 lbs. On 5 June 2015, Ongree lost to the Lumpinee belt in 105 lbs against Phetrung Sitsornong.
On June 9, 2017, Ongree beat Kiew Parunchaï for the Lumpinee belt in 112 lbs. Ongree and Kiew faced each other seven times with five wins for Ongree. These two fighters have always fought big battles in the ring. In 2017, Ongree Sor Dechapant and Kiew Parunchai received the « Best Fight of the Year » trophy at the Lumpinee Stadium for their fight on July 11, 2017.

Kaosanit Sor Dechapant is the other great champion of the camp. He’s 22 years old and comes from the same region as Ongree, Trang in the south. Kaosanit fought for the Dragon Muaythai gym in Phuket. When he was a teenager, he was several times the southern champion of Thailand and champion of the Bangla stadium in Phuket.
In 2014, Kaosanit joined the Sor Dechapant gym.
Kaosanit received the TV7 award for « Best Fight of the Year 2015 ». On 1 November 2015, Kaosanit Sor Dechapant and Koko Paemeanburi fought one of the hardest fights of the year at TV7.
Kaosanit defeated at Koko by points after almost knocking him out in round four. On December 6th, the two combatants met for the match revenge with the belt of the stadium TV7 in 105 lbs in game. But this time, Koko struck Kaosanit in the first round and won the TV7 belt in 105 lbs.
Kaosanit made an excellent year 2018, at the Lumpinee stadium, he beat at points Payakjiw Kilasport and Patukpetch Zinbeemuaythai, Yodkhunphol Singmanassakgym by KO with a superb direct from the right, and he found Koko Paemeanburi against whom he made a draw. Kaosanit made his last fight on September 23, 2018 at the TV7 stadium against Koko Paemeanburi who he beat at points. Kaosanit is currently ranked n°1 in 112 lbs at the TV7 stadium.
